Federal campaign contributions guidelines require that we collect the above information for FEC filing purposes. Your transaction information is processed by PayPal, a secure third-party company, and we do not ever see or have access to your credit card information if payment is made through PayPal. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for any person whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Your contribution may be used in connection with federal elections and is subject to the limitations and prohibitions of the Federal Election Campaign Act.
Federal law prohibits our federal PAC from receiving contributions from the general treasury funds of a corporation, labor organization, national bank, or an entity or person who is a federal contractor, or from anyone who is not a United States citizen or a permanent resident alien. If the contributor is under 18 years old, we cannot accept the contribution unless the decision to contribute was knowingly and voluntarily made by the contributor, and not made from a gift given to the minor for the purpose making the contribution.
Individuals may give our federal account up to $10,000 per year. HCDP also accepts contributions under Texas law. Therefore, please inidcate if your contrubition cannot be used federally. Please contact our headquarters at 713-802-0085 if you need further information.
